Getting around during the conference
Lunch at O’Campus
O’Campus is a restaurant located on the university campus, about a 7-minute walk from the MaCI. The most direct route is through the Muse area of the campus, although Google Maps may suggest a slightly different path.
Conference dinner Chez le Pèr’Gras
The conference dinner will take place at Chez le Pèr’Gras, near the historic Bastille fortress overlooking Grenoble. From MaCI, allow approximately 40–50 minutes, including the tram ride to the city centre, the cable car ascent, and the final walk to the restaurant. The easiest way to access is by taking the Grenoble-Bastille cable car (from the Jardin de ville) with the tickets you received when registering.
Please note, there are other events at the Bastille this day, so there will likely be queues to ride it. We recommend taking it prior to 6pm and enjoying the view from the top.
It is also possible to walk up. The walk is very pleasant (several different routes are possible), but allow about an hour. See here for routes and further information.
From the Bastille cable car station to the restaurant
After exiting the cable car at the Bastille upper station, follow the pedestrian path east toward Chez le Pèr’Gras (90 chemin de la Bastille). The restaurant is about a 5-minute walk from the station.
